Frumento Pizzeria Catania

5 stars all round. The pizza is sensational, and I love that they use all locally sourced ingredients. The choices are mind-numbing, and there's something for every taste.

Frumento is absolutely a must place for pizza lovers. The atmosphere inside is just in perfect harmony with the fantastic food served. Our waiter was excellent, very friendly and professional at the same time, providing all the information we asked. The menu is very rich and informative with superb Italian ingredients, from the different pizza flours to the tomatoes to the cheese and meats. Price-wise was also very fair. We will definitely come back!

We went there because they market themselves as the best pizza in Sicily. We were a bit disappointed — definitely not the best, though not bad either. Drinks are expensive; in the city, an Aperol is usually 3–5 euros, here it’s 8 or 9. The pizza is just average Nice view

We went to Frumento Catania which was recommended by our local guide is set in a lovely location. What an amazing selection of Pizzas. We had both Frumento and Neapolitan base pizzas. One of the best pizzas we ever had. Fresh vegetables. Ever thought a fried aubergine on a pizza would taste so nice. Deserts are also very nice.Service was excellent. Cannot fault it. A must try when you are in Catania

Loved the concept of the restaurant, so we made reservations to eat here on our last night in Catania. We were excited to try the pizzas based on our experience with a similar concept but very different tasting pizzas in Palermo - Funnaco! The location of the restaurant is incredible - if you sit outside, you can see the San Francisco Cathedral and the Piazza! we were there on a warm evening and it absolutely made sense to sit outside. we ordered vegetarian again- both our pizzas were amazing.. but the fried pizza was hands-down, our kids’ favorite! Check out my pictures to see some of the conscious sustainable practices that the restaurant has adopted. We tried the pizzas on their whole wheat dough. it was a little chewy but not very different from the classic dough. The toppings were incredible and went together really well. We ordered glasses of Sicily wine and lemonade for the kids. We gave the service four stars because while one of our servers was super attentive and available, our actual server was not very good - she was a bit impatient with our questions and did not check in with us even once after the food came. we were given one menu for the table and when we asked for more copies we were directed to the QR code so we could check out the menu on our phones. Definitely worth a visit!

Great pizza place with a good selection of various classic Italian Pizzas. We had the "Picante" and it was delicious! Perfect amount of spice The only drawback was that it was somewhat cold when it was served. The restaurant was not busy at the time, so our pizza must have sat out for a while before served. The server seemed uninterested in us and despite the slow pace in the restaurant. Service and temperature of food can improve, but the pizza tastes perfect

Available for takeout. Fried Margherita is a MUST MUST try once in your life. Totally out of my imagination. I’ve never had any kind of pizzas like this before!

An incredible place with fine food! Great pizza with two types of dough, nice white wine and fresh salad. Highly recommend if you want to experience true Sicilian atmosphere!
